I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday season and a very happy new year! Since my last newsletter, the Stevens' household has been very busy ringing in the new year and preparing for another amazing preliminary to Miss Gay Arizona America 2017!
A couple weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to Palm Spring (a city I've never been to) to spend some quality friendship time with our reigning Miss Gay America 2017, Suzy Wong. Thank you for welcoming us into your beautiful home!
After a great lunch at Bongo Johnny's with Suzy, Wes and Kristopher Reynolds, we went back to Suzy's house to get ready for a fun and fabulous photoshoot! It was so amazing to work with famed photographer to the drag stars, Kristopher Reynolds! I am so excited to see the finished product!

All my love and respect,
Miss Gay Arizona America 2016
Welcome Miss Gay Scottsdale America 1st Alternate
This past August marked my 5th year of female impersonation. Over the last 5 years, my pageant experience has been kept to a minimum by choice. I thought that I had had my fill of pageantry, but I became motivated and inspired to try something new, and take on the challenge to strive for "excellence."
I can't even begin to thank Barbra Seville for trusting in me enough to take me with her to Memphis this past year as she competed for the title of Miss Gay America 2016. Without that positive experience, I'm not sure I would have believed that competing for MGAA was something within my reach.
Mya McKenzie has been an amazing mentor throughout this process, and helped me realize the potential I needed to see in myself. I'm so excited to have the opportunity to work with her, as well as Diva and Tyra Marie - who have also been my biggest supporters in this new endeavor.
Our current MGAA, Savannah Stevens, has always been someone I've looked up to and aspired to be like. Her dedication and passion is so inspiring, and without her there is no way I could have made it to this point. To her I am extremely grateful. To be a qualified contestant for MGAA 2017 is truly an honor that I never expected.
We haven't competed yet and I already feel so much love! As a first time competitor, thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and helpful in making this a positive experience. My only hope is to make my community proud. The beginning of the new year means the countdown to Miss Gay Arizona America 2017 has officially begun! I'm so happy for Olivia Gardens, Miss Gay Scottsdale America 2017, and couldn't be more excited join Team Scottsdale with her as she continues her journey and I begin mine.
1st Alternate to Miss Gay Scottsdale America 2017
The Holiday season is quickly aupon us, but with all of the hustle and bustle I hope you are all taking time to spend moments with family and friends ! On December 3rd I had the honor of administrating and participating in my first of 5 preliminaries for the MGAA 17 pageant season! Miss Gay Scottsdale America was such an incredible experience shared with great friends and loved ones! The morning of the 3rd I gave a contestant orientation to 3 amazingly talented and intelligent gentlemen (Olivia Gardens, Piper M'Shay and Maxine Hart )vying for the title and opportunity to carry the name of Miss Gay Scottsdale America 2017! It was truly overwhelming getting the chance to witness other competitors, whom I adore, work and push themselves to achieve and accomplish their own dreams and goals! 5 extremely qualified and professional judges had the undaunting task and responsibility of choosing the first 2 qualified contestants that will move forward to represent MGSA at MGAA 17! CONGRATULATIONS to the newly crowned Miss Gay Scottsdale America 2017 Olivia Gardens and 1st Alternate Piper M'Shay! Both of these gentlemen will move forward to compete for the title of Miss Gay Arizona America 2017 in June!

The 2nd preliminary of the pageant season will be Miss Gay Copper City America 2017 honoring Lady Ashley! The MGCA pageant is proudly promoted by forever MGAA Tc Taylor and Joey Saputo (Judith Derriere ). MGCCA "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" will take place January 15, 2017 at The Rock Phoenix! Any one interested in becoming a contestant or pageant sponsor should contact Lady Ashley, Tc Taylor, Judith Derriere, Daniel Eckstrom or myself !
On a sad note I was shocked to hear about the passing of a close personal friend of mine, Bruce Williams aka Jalissa Michaels. Bruce was a long time friend and supporter of the Miss Gay America Organization and was the proud owner and promoter of The Mr. / Miss National Capital Cities pageant as well as a former promoter of the Arizona EOY pageant! Bruce was a kind hearted, loving and generous friend who will be so greatly missed and fondly remembered!
As I close out this month's newsletter, I want to wish each of you a very warm and blessed holiday season and a very Merry Christmas from the MGAA Family to yours! I also am giving the qualified contestants to Miss Gay Arizona America 2017 the opportunity to share their thoughts in a newsletter of their own. This will give the readers a opportunity to learn about each contestants a little bit more about themselves and why they chose the Miss Gay America system!
All of my Love and Respect,
Miss Gay Arizona America 2016
Greeting from Miss Gay Scottsdale America 2017
