Hello and welcome to March! I cannot believe its March already, the year is just going by so fast! February was a wonderful month and had so many things happen and so many things starting.
I had the pleasure of judging Miss Gay Supernova Newcomer USofA. It was a wonderful pageant with some great contestant. Mia Adams did another wonderful job producing and congrats to her! A big congrats to the winner, Sole Valentino from California and Phoenix’s’ own A’Kasha Lima DeMornay. Both ladies are on their way to Nationals in August. Arizona will have 9 girls competing at Miss Gay UsofA Newcomer and that is truly amazing to see such a strong presence at a national pageant.
I also had the wonderful opportunity to meet some great promoters from other prelims in the Miss Gay America System. Eric Gabbard , the promoter of Miss Gay Eastern States and Chad Johnson and Curt Godier of Miss Gay Illinois America. It was so fun hanging out with these guys and getting to know them better. I look forward to their friendship and seeing them in the future. Eric also booked me to entertain at Miss Gay Eastern States so I am very excited about that. I will also be performing at Miss Gay Northeast in Pennsylvania in April and Miss Gay Maryland in May. (With other dates to hopefully be announced soon) I am so excited to do some traveling and see and perform in part of the country I have never been to!
I was asked to represent Seacret, the company I work for, at Fresh Brunch. It was a joy to see so many people come together to raise money for One-N-ten. The event was very fancy, it raised a TON of money and it was good to see so many familiar faces in the crowd. I also go to formally meet Greg Stanton, the mayor of Phoenix and take a picture with him, his wife Nicole and two very beautiful ladies who also had crowns on. Those ladies were Miss Arizona USA and Miss Teen Arizona USA. These ladies were stunningly beautiful and so sweet. I was honored to meet them all.
The past weekend we had the third prelim to Miss Gay Arizona America, Miss Gay Phoenix America. It was a wonderful pageant. Todd and Gabe did an amazing job putting on a fun and fast pageant. Good jobs guys! Also a shout out to my Arizona sisters, Tyra Marie and TC Taylor for helping out with orientation. I also got to spend some time with Forever Miss America Coti Collins, who hosted the pageant. Coti is a wonderful human being and I want to thank her for the kind and generous words of encouragement she gave me. It meant so much to me, to have her set aside some time and let me know that I am on the right path. Thank you Coti! Two amazing ladies battled for the crown and it was a very competitive pageant. At the end of the night we crowned our new Miss Gay Phoenix America, Neveah McKenzie, her and 1st alternate Candi Colee are the 5th and 6th girls to qualify for Miss Gay Arizona America.
Miss Gay Arizona America is really shaping up to be an amazing pageant with amazing contestants. We still have two more prelims to go and 4 more girls to qualify. There is no prelim in March, but April will be busy with the remaining two. Miss Queen of the Desert is Sunday April 19th at The Rock and our final prelim, Miss Cosmo will be the following Sunday, April 26th, also at The Rock. If you would like to compete for either of these prelims, and I strongly encourage you to, then Please Contact TC Taylor or Big Booty Judy for Queen of the Desert or the Boom Boom LaRue Boys for Miss Cosmo, or contact me or Daniel Eckstrom.
Speaking of Daniel Eckstrom, I would like to say to him and his husband, Nick Ray a very special congratulations! These two gentlemen became Uncles last weekend. It’s a very exciting time for them and I know they will shower there new niece, Zoe, with lots of love, affection, and of course gifts!
Have a wonderful March, please come out and support me and all of the qualified contestants for Miss Gay Arizona America as we begin the countdown to June 27th and 28th. I thank you all for your continued support and love!
