Well, the Holiday Season is here and there is so much going on and so much to do before we ring in 2015. First thing I am really excited about, is the very first prelim to Miss Gay Arizona America, is happening this weekend! On Saturday December 6th I will oversee my first prelim, the prestigious title of Miss Gay Tucson America celebrating 30 years of excellence. I am very happy to work with the promoters, Ricky, Thomas, and Diva and of course to help make Regine Ray's step-down as successful as can be. I know it will be a great pageant. There are wonderful hosts, a great panel of judges, and some amazing contestants. I look forward to seeing it all come together and happy to help crown the next Miss Gay Tucson America. The pageant starts early (4pm) so you have no excuse that it will be too late for you to come out and support. After the pageant catch me and the new Miss Gay Tucson America as we perform with my friend Janee Starr.
The following weekend is going to be a busy one as well. Barbra is bringing to town my new friend, Miss Gay America Blair Williams! Blair and I will be performing all weekend together starting on Thursday at Karamba's for the Golden Wig Head Awards, (which btw I am a nominee so go vote if you like me) then we carry on to C7 on Friday and The Rock on Saturday. It will be a busy weekend but I am excited to be performing with friends and to see so many of you! Josh and I will be opening our home to Blair while she visits and we have been working hard to make sure just everything is perfect for our symbol of excellence. So, please come out and see Blair at one, two, or all 3 shows starting on December 11th. It will be a wonderful memory making weekend!
Also, don’t forget I need your help! This whole month, every set of every show I do, ALL tips given to me will go to my Season of Giving. I have chosen “House of Dreams” and I really believe in what they do. They help undocumented children who have crossed the border alone, get reunited with family members and/or get through the legal process of the immigration system. They are held in foster homes during this time and are in need of many of the basic needs you and I probably take for granted. With every dollar I am tipped I will use these funds to buy the basics these children need. If you would like to help me with this I ask you to either tip me generously or you can bring items and give them to me at each of my shows. Some basic items needed are non-perishable food, toiletries such as deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair products, socks, underwear, shoes and “dress up” items for court appearances. Items like, dress shoes, new or gently used suits, dress pants, dress shirts, ties, etc. In this time of year think about how lucky you are and how such a small everyday item can make a huge impact on someone else. So please, help me with my Season of Giving and donate at any of my upcoming shows!
I wish you all a very happy holiday season and a safe and joyous new year!
