Happy New Years!!! I hope your New Years was as wonderful as mine and I hope you are as excited for what 2015 will bring, just as much as I am. But, before we look forward to 2015, lets first look back :
The first prelim to Miss Gay Arizona America, Miss Gay Tucson was a huge success. A big congrats to the first two contestants to qualify, Bianca Solei, the new Miss Gay Tucson America and 1st alternate, Loren D. Both girls did a great job and are on their way to Miss Gay Arizona America in June. Also congrats to the Promoters, Diva, Ricky, and Thomas for all of the hard work they put in to make a great pageant.
In December I also had a once in lifetime opportunity to spend some amazing quality time with Miss Gay America, Blair Williams. She came into town and we worked together for 3 nights in a row. She also stayed at our home during her visit and we had several opportunities to have one-on-one conversations about everything in life from our personal lives to pageants and everything in between. Blair, was a ray of sunshine and just on overall amazing human being. Blair restored my faith in not only the America system, but more importantly in myself. She gave me back the love and respect for myself and my pathway to becoming the next Miss Gay America! So, I am happy to announce that I WILL be going back to Miss Gay America this year and I WILL be in the top ten and if it all works out, hopefully your next Miss Gay America. I do not know what prelim I will be competing in or when and where, as I must weigh all options, but as soon as I know I will share it with all of you. I look forward to this adventure in 2015 and cannot wait to see what this decision holds for me!
December was also my Season of Giving as Miss Arizona. I had chosen the organization, Casa De Suenos aka House of Dreams. I was able to use all of the tips I collected from my shows in December to purchase over $800 in gifts for the teens of this program. I want to especially thank Kendra Katoure, Josh Kline, and BS West for handing over one of their Tuesday night shows of Stars Choice to me and my cause. We raised a couple hundred dollars and I appreciate them and all of the contestants from Season 7 for helping me out! I love you! It was such a joy and pleasure to collect the money, shop for the items, and to deliver the items. I want to thank everyone who came out to a show in December and tipped me, for your money went to great cause and I appreciate you for supporting me in this.
A shout out also goes to Arizona Drag for including not one, but two of the top ten OMG drag moments of 2014 that involved me. First was my talent number at Miss Gay Arizona coming in at number 9 and second was me being crowned the new Miss Gay Arizona America at number 4. It was an honor to be chosen for one, yet alone two. Thank you for your continued support and believing in me!
Next up is our second prelim to Miss Gay Arizona, Miss Gay Copper City America. This will take place on Sunday January 18th at 6pm at the Rock. We will be honoring Lady Christian and crowing a new Miss Copper City and getting our 3rd and 4th contestants for Miss Arizona America. I want to congratulate LC on a great year and to wish TC Taylor and Big Booty Judy much success on another pageant. If you would like to compete please see TC, Judy, Daniel Eckstrom, or myself for details on how to enter. I encourage anyone who is thinking about competing this year to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to talk to you about the America system.
On a personal note I would like to wish my husband, Josh Kline, the best of luck at his prelim in January as well. Josh is the promoter for Miss Gay Arizona Newcomer USofA and will be having his pageant on Sunday January 25th at the Rock. I will be there performing and to help honor my friend Diamond Dallas in her step-down and supporting the event. If any girl is interested in competing for this please contact Josh. I hope to see you all at this pageant as well as Miss Copper City.
2014 Was a year of extreme highs and extreme lows for me. I have always and will continue to use every set back as a learning opportunity to grow. I may get knocked down, but I will always get back up and move ahead stronger and better then I was before. I encourage you all to do the same and look forward to the future of 2015. I have big, bold plans for this year and will make every day the best that I possibly can. I wish you all a 2015 full of joy, success, and happiness. Let us make 2015 the best year yet!
