Happy Autumn Everyone!
Let me star by saying what a WONDERFUL experience Miss Gay America 2015 was. I had the opportunity to meet 48 amazing contestants, many very enthusiastic promotes, beautiful forever Miss Americas and a lot of people that had nothing but love and support for me. I am very grateful that I had the chance to represent Arizona that has been my home for the last 15 years. The whole experience was a lot more that I expected for that I thank you. Since I believe that my America experience still needs closure I will be back, and again I will put my soul and a 120% to conquer this goal.
What a busy time it has been, but now that Miss Gay America is over I can pour all of myself into being Miss Gay Arizona America and moving forward with the many ideas that I have. I first want to thank all of my sponsors who helped me on the road to Nashville, with you I would not have been able to make it! The entire team from Arizona and Houston that was In Nashville, THANK YOU! You all helped, enhanced, cheered, supported and gave your unconditional love. I appreciate and love all of you! Congrats to Jessica Jade for a wonderful reign and a beautiful step down. Also, her work with Stand For The Silent deserves a round of applause. She brought to an organization to the forefront and it really touched me. Daniel, it was a crazy ride with up and downs and thank you for standing by my side hand having my back. L&T Entertainment, another successful year, wonderful pageant, and a new queen. Congrats to both of you. I want to say thank you to the forever Miss Gay Americas first, for choosing me at the recipient of the Michael Andrews Most Photogenic award. And thank you to the forever Miss Americas, who reaches out to me, supported me, encouraged me, and renewing my faith. I love you and hope to one day call you my sisters! And last, but most certainly not least, a huge congratulations to our new Miss Gay America, Blair Williams! It was a pleasure meeting you and seeing you compete. I cannot wait to see you in your reign and hope to see you here in Arizona real soon!
As we approach the holidays, I believe it is the season of giving. I would like to take the handoff from my MGAA sister, Tyra Marie, who did an amazing job with several organizations over the holidays last year. I have thought long and hard about this and who or what organization I would like to benefit form Season of Giving, part 2. So, starting November 1stand continuing till the end of this year, I have chosen Casa de Suenos (House of Dreams). This is an organization that I have worked with in the past and fell in love with. This is through The Florence Project. (Firrp.org) What this organization does is provided food, shelter, and basic living needs to minor children who have entered the U.S. alone. When minors cross the border and are picked up by law enforcement they are not deported. They are sent to detention centers, foster homes, or a place like Casa de Suenos. The children are then housed there until a legal relative here in the U.S. can be found. This organization helps ease the transition for these children by providing basic needs. What they need is money, non perishable food, clothing, toys, toiletries, basic everyday living items. So what I am asking is that every show I am in from November 1st to December 31st that you bring me one, two, there, or more of the items listed above. I would like to present them a donation before Thanksgiving and then another one before Christmas and I final one at the beginning of the year. I ask for you help and assistance in making these children’s life just a little easier and brighter. So wont you please join me in this crusade?
Prelim season for Miss Gay America 2015 starts in just one month! On Saturday, December 6th Miss Gay Tucson America will be held. I am very excited as this is my first prelim and I hope to see many contestants and of course all of you to support and cheer everyone on. I know Diva, Ricky, Thomas, and Regine have been putting in a lot of hard work and time into this pageant and I know it will be an amazing one! I look forward to it and I hope you do as well!
Thank you all for your continued love and support. It really does mean the world to me.
